Brief info

Father Andrew Toppin was born in New Providence to the late Lloyd and Mabel (nee Kelly) Toppin. He received his primary education at Queen’s College Primary School and his Secondary Education at Saint John’s College.

He has a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University of the West Indies.

From August 1, 1989, until May 31st, 1993, he served as an assistant priest at Saint Barnabas, NP. From June 1, 1993, until December 31st, 2000, he served as Priest-in-Charge of All Saints Parish, Mangrove Cay and South Andros. On January 1, 2001, he was appointed Rector of Saint Luke’s Parish, South Eleuthera until July 31st, 2010. From August 1, 2010, until May 31st, 2013, he served as Assistant Priest here at Saint George’s, New Providence. From June 1st, 2013, until January 2023, he served as Priest-in-Charge of Saint James Parish, Adelaide.

Fr. Toppin is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. where he serves as Chaplain and his hobbies include reading, writing, and fiddling with electrical gadgets.
