Today, as a Diocesan community, we rejoice and lift up in prayer Kenneth Knowles Jr. (St. Barnabas Parish, N.P), Austin Meadows (Christ the King Parish, N.P.), Tiffany Sweeting (Christ Church Cathedral), and Damien White (St. Matthew Parish, N.P.).

These four individuals are about to embark on a sacred and transformative journey to test their vocation to the sacred priesthood at Codrington College, Barbados, (Knowles, Meadows, Sweeting) and The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee (White). We celebrate and recognize their commitment to serve our Lord and His Church. May they embrace this time of formation with humility and open hearts, knowing that true wisdom comes from God alone.   We surround them with our support and prayers, knowing that together, we strengthen the Body of Christ.

The Anglican Community now has eleven (11) persons from our Diocese testing their vocations in the academic year 2023-2024, for which we thank God.

Let us pray—

Heavenly Father, we come to You today with hearts full of gratitude and hope for Kenneth, Austin, Tiffany, and Damien, all of whom have chosen to dedicate themselves to a deeper understanding of Your divine wisdom. As they step onto this path of testing their vocations to the sacred ministry, we ask for Your blessings to guide and guard them.

 Grant them courage and perseverance when challenges arise, wisdom to discern Your truth, and an unwavering commitment to love and to serve Your people faithfully. May the Holy Spirit be their constant companion, illuminating their minds and filling their hearts with compassion.

We pray that their time away from their homes and families be transformative, equipping them to become effective messengers of Your Word, and living examples of Your grace and love. Cause them to be shining beacons of hope, inspiring others to draw nearer to You.

Allow Your abundant blessings to be upon them and upon the entire Diocese as we journey together, united in faith, hope, and love.
